Nick Watson

A native of Killyleagh, County Down, Northern Ireland, Nick toured internationally as a member of the drum corps with Belfast-based Field Marshall Montgomery Pipe Band, three time world pipe band champions and one of the top competitive bagpipe bands in the world.

In 1995 he joined Seven Nations and was the drummer on what are still two of the most popular albums in that band's discography. In 1997 he left to form his own group, Jacksonville, FL based Celtic Soul, a band that enjoyed a loyal East Coast following for several years.

It was Nick who came up with the name Rathkeltair, which is an ancient archeological site near his home village in County Down.
